Introducing a timeless twist on a classic, our Goldswarm Mai Tai takes the beloved 1944 recipe and infuses it with the rich, multifaceted sweetness of Goldswarm honey. This elegant cocktail combines the depth of aged Jamaican and Martinique rums with vibrant citrus and a subtle almond finish, all sweetened by our signature Goldswarm honey syrup. Garnish with mint and lime for a beautifully crafted drink that’s perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients:
- 1 oz aged Dark Jamaican rum
- 1 oz aged Martinique rum
- ¾ oz Goldswarm honey syrup (recipe below)
- ½ oz fresh lime juice
- ½ oz orange curaçao
- ½ oz orgeat (almond syrup)
- Ice (crushed or cubes)
- Mint sprig (for garnish)
- Lime wheel (for garnish, optional)
Goldswarm Honey Syrup:
- Mix equal parts Goldswarm honey and hot water.
- Stir until the honey is fully dissolved.
- Let it cool, then store in a sealed container. It can be refrigerated for up to two weeks.
Instructions:
- Fill a shaker with ice.
- Add the aged rum, Goldswarm honey syrup, fresh lime juice, orange curaçao, and orgeat.
- Shake well for about 10-15 seconds until chilled.
- Fill a double old-fashioned glass with crushed ice.
- Strain the shaken mixture over the ice.
- Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a lime wheel, if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
